Worth adding layers – finished my first (of probably several) buddha-face-painting

So here’s the Thing. I love to sketch meditating Buddhas. Or Buddha faces… Next step was wanting to paint one for my ‘breathing room’. Well…It took…let’s say…a while. Underneath the visible layer there was  – besides other things – a Lotus flower and I am happy the shape can still be perceived. So happy it turned out to be a painting I actually like 🙂

  1. wonderful artistic expression!

    • Thank you very much for this huge, kind, generous compliment, David! I am actually a bit shy about posting photos of something I painted….
Have a good start into your week!
      Best, Nicole

  2. Beautiful painting! =3 I love the shape of the eye!

  3. I love Buddha images and this is a great one — especially with the lotus lurking underneath. And I love the colours too. I would put it on my wall.

    • Thank you very much, Sherry! I feel very humble and honoured reading your wonderful Feedback (*blushes*) 🙂 Although I had the Intention to paint a Buddha in some way for quite a while, I kept changing my mind about the composition. When I painted this painting, I was quite … open to what would come of it. Turquoise, blue and green are my favourite colours.
