Today’s prompt theme is a particularly interesting and challenging one. It made me think about what is sacred to me. Usually, thinking about things like that is something I’d almost call a Hobby 🙂 .. but capturing it in a photo.. oh well.
Besides the idea to take a photo of my smallest room in the appartment, a former balcony, re-built as a Loggia, so I have a maximum of natural light besides my easel, books, candles, a spot for a teapot/coffee cup ….and my dear old teddy, sitting next to my lovely old plush rabbit (both are in their mid-thirties and have moved with me ever since I first left home) I finally decided to take a photo of my “sacred-shelfboard”. Sort of “sacred-shelfboard”´, as I keep some real treasures there:
-the cups belonged to my Grandparents, at whose house I loved to spend time, they lived next door and were quite amazing, especially my Grandpa
-the little guitar pic with the Maple Leaf is the last one left from a Little collection I purchased on Yonge Street, Toronto in 2006.
-the little toy truck actually had a teddy-status and went to bed with me when I was pre-school aged. It’s sweetcorn yellow and I am happy I still have it, loved to play with it.
-the two wooden vehicles were a gift when I was pre-school Age as well… I went from neglecting to absolutely loving them within days 🙂
-and last but not least there is “Jimmy”, the woollen ladybird toy, with 5 dots on his back, because the kindergarten teachers crafted it for my 5th birthday.
